Front Office Team

Wendy – Front Office Team

Wendy began her career in the dental field in 1997 as a dental assistant. She joined the Penterson & Booth team to assist Dr. Penterson in 2001 and since then has expanded her knowledge to the front desk team.

Wendy lives in Chesterfield with her husband Jesse and their two children. When Wendy is not spoiling all the children that come into the office, she spends her free time at church, vacationing at Lake Gaston, and spending time with her family. Wendy believes the best thing you can wear is a smile!

Brian – Director Of Operations

Brian was born in Clearwater, Fl and spent most of his childhood surrounded by the Florida beaches. His family moved up to Midlothain in 2006, which is when he met Christine Penterson, Dr. Lynn Booth's sister. From beginning to date in high school, Brian and Christine got married in 2014 and he became part of the Penterson and Booth family.

Brian attended Old Dominion University where he obtained a B.S in Biology with a focus in marine biology. He pursued his passion and became a dolphin trainer down in the Florida Keys for 4 years. Now, Brian and Christine have found their way back to Midlothian to raise their three children where their story began. Brian joins our team as the new director of operations.

Dental Hygienists

Susan – Dental Hygienist

Susan graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in biology. She continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned her degree in dental hygiene. Susan joined our practice in 2001 and has always taken pride in being thorough at every appointment, and providing optimal care to her patients.

Susan and her husband have two grown children and enjoy hiking with their dogs and doing DIY home projects.

Samm – Dental Hygienist

Samm was born in Fairfax and raised in the town of Victoria. She graduated from Longwood University in 2015 and received her dental hygiene degree from Virginia Western in 2017. One of her favorite aspects of working in the dental field is seeing someone smile because they LOVE their smile. Samm loves to joke with her patients when given the opportunity and spreads laughter throughout the office.

When she is not in the dental office, she can be found playing volleyball and spending time with friends.

Lauren – Dental Hygienist

Lauren earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Old Dominion University in 2012. She has been a dental hygienist for more than eight years and really completes our practice. Lauren enjoys the bonds that she has formed with her patients over the years and meeting new patients that come into the practice.

Lauren loves spending time on the boat and paddle boarding with her husband JJ. Lauren and JJ are high-school sweethearts and welcomed their first baby in November 2020. They have two dogs and enjoy traveling and entertaining.

Katie – Dental Hygienist

Katie has been part of the Penterson & Booth team since January 2019. She graduated from James Madison University in 2000 and earned her dental hygiene degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005. Katie loves being a hygienist because of the personal connection she makes with her patients. She is very familiar with dentistry because every member of her family grew up worked in the dental field.

Katie is a breast cancer survivor since 2018, and enjoys spending time with her husband, their two sons, and much-loved dogs, Glory and Barkley.

Dental Assistants

Shawna – Dental Assistant

Shawna is Dr. Lynn Booth’s spunky, fun-loving assistant of more than ten years. They have been working side by side since 2008. We can always count on Shawna to light up our day with her smile and kind personality. With almost two decades of experience, Shawna is a great asset to our team and part of the PBDDS family. Shawna truly enjoys helping people feel better about their smile and getting to know the patients.

Shawna and her husband Chip enjoy riding their motorcycle, going to the beach, and spending time with their two children.

Brooke – Dental Assistant

Brooke is originally from Connecticut. Our office has been lucky enough to have her assisting our team since 2019. She can often be found cleaning children’s teeth or assisting the doctors with their treatment appointments. She enjoys the fast pace the office offers and is efficient in keeping everyone on schedule.

Brooke enjoys her free time at the gym or the James River. She also loves cooking good food and spending time with her dog Baxter. “Good things come in small packages” is definitely true when it comes to Brooke!
