Wendy – Front Office Team
Wendy began her career in the dental field in 1997 as a dental assistant. She joined the Penterson & Booth team to assist Dr. Penterson in 2001 and since then has expanded her knowledge to the front desk team.
Wendy lives in Chesterfield with her husband Jesse and their two children. When Wendy is not spoiling all the children that come into the office, she spends her free time at church, vacationing at Lake Gaston, and spending time with her family. Wendy believes the best thing you can wear is a smile!
Casey – Front Office Team
Casey grew up in the town of Amelia and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She quickly found her interest in dentistry and began her career with Drs. Penterson and Booth in 2019. Casey enjoys seeing the transformation that the doctors can create in their patients’ smiles and the team environment of the practice.
Casey loves taking trips to new places with her four children and husband Chip. In her free time, she enjoys decorating and spending time with her family and friends.
Danielle – Front Office Team
Danielle began her dental career with our practice in 2006. From here, she relocated to Germany and has lived in several states across the U.S. Over the years, she has continued to expand her knowledge in the dental field, both clinically and administratively. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from University of Alabama in 2019. Danielle returned to Virginia in 2020 and has happily rejoined our practice to complete the front desk team.
Danielle resides in Richmond, where she enjoys cycling and spoiling her two dogs, Piper and Brexley. She loves traveling, good food, and spending time with her family and friends.
Susan – Dental Hygienist
Susan graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in biology. She continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned her degree in dental hygiene. Susan joined our practice in 2001 and has always taken pride in being thorough at every appointment, and providing optimal care to her patients.
Susan and her husband have two grown children and enjoy hiking with their dogs and doing DIY home projects.
Christy C. – Dental Hygienist
Christy was born in Waynesboro and raised in Chesterfield County. She completed her Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001 and has been a member of our team since 2009. Christy enjoys dental hygiene because she loves educating patients to help improve their dental health.
Christy is married with two grown boys and their youngest daughter, Mia. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family by their pool, and taking care of her grandchildren.
Angela – Dental Hygienist
Angela started out as a patient in our practice. She joined our team following her graduation from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in dental hygiene in 2006. Angela enjoys seeing the positive impact dentistry can provide a patient in their oral health and appearance.
Angela and her husband Travis have a full happy home with their two sons and a daughter. Her hobbies include going to the gym, spending time with her family at the lake, and going to church.
Samm – Dental Hygienist
Samm was born in Fairfax and raised in the town of Victoria. She graduated from Longwood University in 2015 and received her dental hygiene degree from Virginia Western in 2017. One of her favorite aspects of working in the dental field is seeing someone smile because they LOVE their smile. Samm loves to joke with her patients when given the opportunity and spreads laughter throughout the office.
When she is not in the dental office, she can be found playing volleyball and spending time with friends.
Lauren – Dental Hygienist
Lauren earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Old Dominion University in 2012. She has been a dental hygienist for more than eight years and really completes our practice. Lauren enjoys the bonds that she has formed with her patients over the years and meeting new patients that come into the practice.
Lauren loves spending time on the boat and paddle boarding with her husband JJ. Lauren and JJ are high-school sweethearts and welcomed their first baby in November 2020. They have two dogs and enjoy traveling and entertaining.
Katie – Dental Hygienist
Katie has been part of the Penterson & Booth team since January 2019. She graduated from James Madison University in 2000 and earned her dental hygiene degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2005. Katie loves being a hygienist because of the personal connection she makes with her patients. She is very familiar with dentistry because every member of her family grew up worked in the dental field.
Katie is a breast cancer survivor since 2018, and enjoys spending time with her husband, their two sons, and much-loved dogs, Glory and Barkley.
Sarah – Dental Hygienist
Sarah was born in Florida but mostly raised in Colonial Heights. After graduating from the dental hygiene program at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2004, Sarah moved to Charlottesville to begin her career. During that time, she held many positions in the Virginia Dental Hygienists Association, including vice president and national delegate to the ADHA. In 2013, Sarah and her husband James moved to Germany where she continued to practice dental hygiene and explore different parts of Europe. She and James now have a daughter and are happy to be settled back in Virginia with their family.
Shawna – Dental Assistant
Shawna is Dr. Lynn Booth’s spunky, fun-loving assistant of more than ten years. They have been working side by side since 2008. We can always count on Shawna to light up our day with her smile and kind personality. With almost two decades of experience, Shawna is a great asset to our team and part of the PBDDS family. Shawna truly enjoys helping people feel better about their smile and getting to know the patients.
Shawna and her husband Chip enjoy riding their motorcycle, going to the beach, and spending time with their two children.
Brooke – Dental Assistant
Brooke is originally from Connecticut. Our office has been lucky enough to have her assisting our team since 2019. She can often be found cleaning children’s teeth or assisting the doctors with their treatment appointments. She enjoys the fast pace the office offers and is efficient in keeping everyone on schedule.
Brooke enjoys her free time at the gym or the James River. She also loves cooking good food and spending time with her dog Baxter. “Good things come in small packages” is definitely true when it comes to Brooke!
Taylor – Dental Assistant
Taylor has been a patient of the practice since she was only four years old. She has four younger siblings with whom she is very close, so working with the children in the office comes naturally to her. Taylor enjoys assisting the doctors with their restorative treatment appointments and has always had an interest in the field. Having come to our practice since she was a young child, she has always felt comfortable with the team and we are happy to have her.
Taylor and her fiancé Dylan reside in Amelia County with their two Labs; however, their favorite place to be is at the beach! She also loves spending time with her friends and family.
Madison – Dental Assistant
Madison started her dental education when she was 16 by taking the dental occupations courses at the Chesterfield Technical School. She is currently continuing her education at Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in dental hygiene. Madison realized the positive impact dental providers can have on a patient’s life through her own experience of undergoing multiple dental procedures growing up. She enjoys being at Penterson & Booth because the office feels like family in the way they treat each other and their patients.
In her spare time, Madison enjoys hiking, painting, and traveling to new places.
Amanda – Dental Assistant
Amanda migrated to Virginia from New York in 2003. She joined our team in 2019 and is a great aid in ensuring our office runs smoothly every day. Amanda has more than eight years of experience in the dental field. She enjoys engaging with the children that come into the office and has a natural ability to help them feel comfortable.
Amanda is a mother of six — yes, six! She and her family reside in Amelia. If you know Amanda, you know that she loves panda bears and sports.
